These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website, your communications with The Scoop Lab, and services provided by The Scoop Lab LLC, doing business as The Scoop Lab. By using the website, requesting a quote, approving service, or otherwise engaging The Scoop Lab, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services and Quotes

The Scoop Lab provides residential dog-waste removal, one-time cleanups, yard deodorizing, apartment and HOA service, commercial property service, pet-waste-station service, and related services in Pitt County, North Carolina.

Standard recurring residential pricing is publicly displayed and is based on service frequency and number of dogs. One-time cleanup, deodorizing, commercial, community, and other custom-service pricing may depend on yard or property size, property condition, accumulated waste, dog count, access, station count, requested add-ons, and other relevant factors. A custom quote becomes effective only when provided or confirmed by The Scoop Lab.

2. Scheduling and Property Access

Customers are responsible for providing accurate service and access information and ensuring that agreed service areas can be accessed safely. Gates must be unlocked or accessible on the scheduled service day unless another arrangement has been approved.

For safety, customers should keep aggressive, unpredictable, or unsafe animals secured away from the service area. The Scoop Lab may postpone or decline service when a property, animal, weather condition, access issue, or other circumstance presents a safety risk.

Service dates or arrival times may change because of severe weather, holidays, unsafe conditions, route disruptions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will communicate material scheduling changes when practical.

3. Billing and Payment

Customers agree to pay the pricing, fees, and billing schedule approved for their service. Recurring residential service may be billed using an average monthly schedule based on the selected service frequency. Applicable one-time-cleanup, additional-dog, deodorizing, late-payment, or other disclosed charges may apply. Waste removal is included with recurring residential service at no additional charge.

Payment processing may be provided by a third-party processor subject to its own terms and privacy practices.

4. Recurring Service and Cancellation

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, recurring residential service does not require a long-term contract and may be canceled at any time. Charges already incurred remain due. Customers should provide reasonable notice before the next scheduled visit to avoid charges for work already routed, performed, or otherwise committed.

Commercial, apartment, HOA, or station-service arrangements may be governed by a separate written proposal or service agreement. If a separate agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for that service.

5. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you believe an agreed service area was missed, notify The Scoop Lab within 24 hours of service. When appropriate, we will return to address the reported area. The guarantee does not apply to new waste deposited after service, inaccessible areas, unsafe conditions, inaccurate instructions, or matters outside the agreed scope.

6. Waste Handling and Property Conditions

For recurring residential service, we scoop the waste, bag it, and take it with us at no additional charge. The Scoop Lab is not responsible for pre-existing property damage, concealed hazards, landscaping conditions, or items hidden by grass, leaves, debris, snow, standing water, or other obstructions.

7. The Scoop Lab SMS Program

When you affirmatively opt in, you agree to receive automated and non-automated text messages from The Scoop Lab at the mobile number you provide. Messages may include requested quote follow-up, questions about your property or service needs, scheduling, appointment reminders, on-the-way notices, arrival notices, service updates, gate-confirmation notices or photos, billing or account information, and customer-care messages.

Message frequency varies based on your quote request and service activity. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Do not provide a mobile number that you do not own or have permission to use. You are responsible for notifying us if your mobile number changes or is reassigned.

Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and messaging consent data will not be shared, sold, rented, or provided to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.

8. Website Use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit fraudulent information, misuse forms, or use the website in a way that harms The Scoop Lab or others.

Website content, logos, branding, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by or licensed to The Scoop Lab and may not be copied or used without permission except as allowed by law.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website and operations may use or link to third-party services, including scheduling, CRM, messaging, payment, analytics, map, and review services. We are not responsible for third-party websites, availability, or practices.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

We strive to provide reliable service and accurate website information, but the website is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scoop Lab disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scoop Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use or service, except where liability cannot legally be limited. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Pitt County, North Carolina, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
